Product Revisted Dr. Bronner Pure Castile Peppermint Soap

As a product junkie, It is easy to lose track of products and their performance. Every now and again I give my forgotten products another chance to wow me. This weekend it was Dr. Bronner Castile Soap, which is all natural and sulfate free. It is highly concentrated yet gentle. It is readily available at any health food store or grocery store with a low price tag. This product should only be used about once a week; it can be drying if used in excess. It is very important to use a good conditioner to re-moisturizer the hair which is the same for all shampoos. This no-poo product (shampoo alternative) is infused with different essential oils to meet your different scalp needs. For example peppermint for dry scalp or rose to soothe scalp. Dr. Bronner's is a all-n-one, so its multiple purpose and doubles as a body wash. The peppermint gives a cooling sensation which I love.
Our most popular fragrance. The peppermint essential oil tingles the body and clears the mind. Because therapeutically peppermint oil is a mild stimulant it increases vitality and clarity. All oils and essential oils are certified organic to the National Organic Standards Program. Packaged in 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.
INGREDIENTS:Water, Saponfied Organic Coconut Oil*, Saponified Organic Olive Oil*, Organic Glycerin, Organic Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Mentha Arvensis Extract, Organic Mentha Peperita (Peppermint) Oil, Citric Acid, Tocopherol (* Certified Fair Trade by IMO)

Curlicious Curls Cleansing Cream

Ok, naturalistas! If you want a really good cleanser that is gentle and moisterizes then this is it. Curlicious Curls Cleansing Cream has a soft sweet scent. This product is a great alternative to shampoo, it is sulfate free and still has that lathering affect.

Miss Jessie's Fingerstyling

WHAT IS FINGERSTYLING? FINGERSTYLING IS A CURLY STYLING TECHNIQUE. APPLY PRODUCT WITH FINGERS WHILE HAIR IS WET AND DETANGLED. SPREAD MISS JESSIE'S CURLY PUDDING™ OR CURLY MERINGUE™ FROM ROOT TO END. TYPICALLY, YOU WILL DRY YOUR HAIR UNDER AN OVERHEAD DRYER UNTIL FULLY DRY OR YOU CAN AIR-DRY. AIR-DRYING CAN TAKE A LONG TIME DEPENDING ON LENGTH + DENSITY. SHRINKAGE

I decided to fingerstyle my hair with Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding. I like the results my hair looks shiny with a firm hold. The purpose of trying this technique was to see if I would have the same look in the morning of something that looks just as good.

The pictures below are the aftermath of seating under the dryer for about 20-30 mins. The key to this style or any of the Miss Jessie's style techniques is to keep the hair dripping wet and spread the product from root to tip. I like this products but they are expensive. They are quality products but there are less expensive products or combination of products that will get the job done. Well, let me not speak too soon. I'll give my final verdict in the morning after my nightly 'toss and turn'.

Okay so I wake up this morning and took the satin scarf off my head. I just knew I was in for a mess of bed hair but to my amazement it was okay. I did a few finger scrunches and then went to work out. After the work out it was sprinkling but even in the midst; my hair was STILL okay. It didn't even frizz in the midst or humidity. It shrank a bit but that problem can be easily solved.

Overall, I'm impressed with this product. Its not an everyday product by any means but if you are styling your hair with the intent of maintaining the style for a few days; I highly recommend this product. A little bit goes a long way.

Deep Condition

Deep conditioning for me consist of Hair Mayo and Olive Oil. But tonight I did something different that made a huge difference. I sat under a hood dryer for about 15-20 mins. I had such great results that I will be sure to include this process in my regular regimen.

I know some of you are thinking "well yeeahh, duh". I know, I know! But usually I just leave the deep conditioner in for about a hour sometimes all night covered with a plastic cap. I started my hair later than a wanted tonight but still wanted an intense conditioning so I decide on more concentrated heat. The results were a lot better and less time.
