Whole Foods and Kinky-Curly

Have you been looking for a Kinky Curly Curling Custard (KCCC) retailer? Good and bad news if your in the Houston area, Uncle Funk's Daughter discontinued the Kinky Curly product line. Your local salons no longer carry this all natural styling product. No need to become dismay because your local Whole Foods may. The nearest one in H-Town is the recently built Sugarland Whole Foods. Happy shopping to all my product junkies (pk).

  1. Try the "Root of You" Salon and Spa on Buffalo Speedway. They sell it there, but I have not been there in a while.

  2. Hey Amber,

No, they don't carry it. Uncle Funky's Daughter was the only local retailer. They carry Miss Jessie's products and Carol's Daughter, though.

  7. I love that Kinky-Curly is now in Whole Foods, much easier to get my hands on. However, this weekend I went to my local Whole Foods in Atlanta, GA and to my SHOCK the price had increased! Her products are growing in popularity and she's gotten this huge account with Whole Foods WHY on earth is she increasing her pricing during a recession! It use to be $26 and is now $29.99. This $4 increase makes me think twice because mentally $26 seems like a great deal while $29.99 seems like those high priced hair products that I may be able to live without. I think it's a bad move to raise prices now. I talked with Whole Foods and they told me it's because she raised her prices.

  8. Hello to all my naturals out there in cyber world. I have just started transitioning b/c my daughter is 4a and I'm tired of switching back and forthof what I have to do for both of our heads. I am in Birmingham, AL and I went to Whole foods and they have plenty to share. They also have Abba as well. Wish me luck in my transitioning to be the bc.
