Going Natural As A Spiritual Journey?!

I was reading comments on my facebook fan pages and one comment stated "Going natural has been a spiritual journey for me..."

Does anyone else agree?

Personally, I had to learn how to love all of me in my natural state. Sometimes I really hated my hair in the begin but God taught me how to look at myself how he sees me.

I Samuel 16:7 "The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

With that I developed confidence in myself as a "fearfully, wonderfully made" woman that God made. As my confidence as God's woman increase in my inner being it began to exhibit itself on the outward.

  1. i agree. i realized after going natural just how much i had really hated myself before. not just my hair, but my face, my body. and it was during my transition that I realized that hating what God had designed specially for me was very wrong. these days I look in the mirror and if im not really loving the way I look that day, I still smile and walk with confidence. because if the Creator of all the universe saw fit to make me this way, then i am most certainly looking good. also we have to take care of what God has given us. so im taking care of my natural hair as an honor to God - as a way to say I am happy You made me this way.

  2. Yes, going natural was a spiritual journey for me...as well as locking.
