Girl thanks for this. I am so over the "frizz" thing. Especially with my TWA...it is going to happen...period. I try my best to alter my technique to keep it down, but in the end, if it comes.....whatever...keep it moving.
I can completely identify with this video! I tried a curly fro one day and was taking out my twists/rollers and realized my hair was still wet. By around noon, my hair was HUGE with barely any curl definition. I was like, oh well, I'm gonna work this fro!
If your hair is damp - and you don't want to work it. Try Paul Mitchell Foaming pomade. It will give a nice shine and curls in your hair (make sure your hair is damp) The only setback is the mineral oil. But since I don't use it often (only on those days when I'm really frizzy), I will use it.
PS: My hair has been natural for over 10 years. I try NOT to use a lot of oil in my hair because it can cause the hair to tangle and knot at the ends.
i have a couple of questions for everyone. first my story. Once upon a time i cut all my relaxed hair off and started dreds. i had dreds for about 3 years, they were beautiful always recieved compliments and they grew very long, till one day i cut them off and relaxed my hair again. i grew weary of the relaxer not feeling it after having natural hair for so long, not really appreciating the fact that i actually went there after being natural, anyway, i cut my hair again last year around June or July and its taking its time growing. I have found that my hair doesnt work well with protein and it feels weird and hard when i use protein conditioners and shampoos on my hair. I want my hair to be soft all the time. My hair is really curly and i need a balance moisturizer and i cant seem to find any that keeps my curls and allow moisture. i currently use kinky kurly and miss jessies, i love them both, just have to order them off line all the time, does anyone know of a product that i can use that i can get from the local beauty supplier or drug store, that has the same quality as Miss Jessie or kinky curly? I have tried so many products, you should see my cabinets, dont like Carol Daughters hair milk, its messy and too oily, dont like it at all. Help!
Anonymous...it sounds like you have the hair type that can't take a lot of protein build-up so you shouldn't use those kind of products too often. Have you tried misting your hair with a little of Lisa's Hair Elixer mixed with aloe vera juice? I can handle a lot of protein, but when I made this moisturizer, my hair feels soft all day. I've tried Miss Jessie...too greasy or dries out my hair, and I don't like CD's Hair milk either, but the my own misting concoction seems to work for me.
